INCEPTUM is an independent investment company founded by entrepreneurs headquartered in Munich. Our focus is on corporate investments in small and medium-sized companies in Germany.

We see ourselves as inspiration, sparring partner and active co-creator at the strategic level. If necessary, we are committed in some cases also at the operational level in the business.

Through our entrepreneurial approach, our long-term orientation, as well as our many years of experience, we are a strong partner for the further development of the company.

INCEPTUM is not a private equity fund: our equity capital comes from private family assets. Therefore, we are independent and are not committed to any third party. As entrepreneurs, the managing partners of INCEPTUM participate in investment.

Established small or medium-sized companies/divisions in Germany which have growth and/or internationalisation potential. Together with the management, we work to promote the continued positive business development and to stranghten long-term competitiveness and prosperity.

Companies or divisions, we are typically interested in, generate revenues up to EUR 20 million and stable positive Cash Flows.

The current shareholder should have taken a clear disposal decision and the acquisition of a majority stake or a full acquisition of the company should be possible.

We do not limit ourselves to specific sectors. We are looking for acquisition opportunities in the manufacturing industry, trade and services industry.

Succession

Family businesses without defined succession – we offer the possibility to ensure the independence and continuity of the company in the long term. We acquire the company either alone or in conjunction with the management – depending on the individual situation. A continued accompaniment of the company by existing shareholders is possible.

Carve-out of divisions or subsidiaries

Companies that want to focus on the core business and therefore spin off divisions or subsidiaries and sell them.

Companies in special situations

Companies in a difficult situation with below-average profitability, strained liquidity, or restructuring needs.

Growth capital for expansion

We support companies with equity in the implementation of its growth strategy – for example through acquisitions, expansion of business models or internationalization.

Investment decisions are taken quickly, binding and are taken alone by the management of INCEPTUM in coordination with our investors. We are not subject to any regulations or decisions of the Committee.
